Beauty Buy : Maybelline Lip Gradation

How's your week starting so far? I just bought some really good items for sale right now. Thank goodness, sales were invented!  Ahhhh I think I'm pretty much the type of person who goes out of my way to the store immediately once I hear there's a markdown of their products.

One recent beauty find of mine is something that I bought on sale! When I was younger, one of the beauty brands that I've really had the chance to try was Maybelline! I think it's pretty normal for girls to have a Maybelline product in their bags at a certain point in their lives. Honestly, I think my curiosity has led me to try other brands for a while, thus losing my interest for this brand for quite a while. However, what I really appreciate about this brand is the fact that it releases new products from time to time to keep up with the current trends in the industry. I've read several reviews about the lip gradation line, but I only somehow got to try it recently because I've been trying to have a lipstick ban on myself, but well sale eh!And boy am I glad that I decided to buy these lippies!!

I would probably go out on a limb and say that this line offers some of the best drugstore lipsticks ever. And for me, the best lipstick line from Maybelline. I initially first bought the Mauve1, but when I realized how good it is, I bought the Orange one a week after even if I have a few orange lippies right now - sulitin kasi sale pa rin hehe. I'm personally not a fan of the gradient lip, so I don't get the chance to use this for that effect, so I just apply it as a pure lipstick. And can I just say, application is already easier, since the shape of this lipstick is much thinner, and I get to apply it to some gaps easily. In addiition, I love how pigmented these lippies are! Also, I actually had the opportunity to try some Maybelline lipsticks before, and one thing that I don't necessarily love is the scent. That is why, I'm really glad that the lip gradation lippies doesn't have a scent. Yay :)

I really love lipsticks with orange shades. This one is my new favorite shade right now.
Meanwhile, the Mauve shade I heard is similar to Mac's Whirl. Haven't tried that shade yet, but what I can say about this is that it's good enough for everyday wear and for job interviews!

Overall, I just really love the lip gradation line and I am just controlling myself not to buy any other shades- maybe if I get a job pretty soon, I'll buy more shades hehe!

Much love,

Sunday routine

Sunday routine from nikki cea on Vimeo.

One morning, I had a chat with my mummy J about the things that I could make a video about and she suggested this one. I have always wanted to make a video of sorts of how one day in my life is so that I could always look back at this day, at this current moment in time ifever I have a different perspective on how to spend my time someday! Honestly, I'm really a habit of creature, and if I do get used to a certain way of doing things, I'll just end up doing it over and over again, leaving little space to go out of my comfort zone. I am slowly changing some things from time to time to challenge myself to leave that zone a bit. Anyway sorry for the silliness of this video, but this would really pretty much give a glimpse of how I am in real life hahaha. :)

Beauty Buy : Pond's Washable Cold Cream

Growing up in the province, I remember it was such a struggle to find a good product that could effectively remove make-up. One of the reasons that also contributed to the dilemma was that back then, there wasn't a lot to choose from, in the first place. But now, it's a completely different story. There's just many products to choose from, from different brands from different countries.

My ultimate favorite make-up remover would be Bifesta's Micellar Water. However, when I do need something stronger to wipe out waterproof makeup such as heavy duty liquid lippies, this recent discovery of mine does the job pretty well. Pond's washable cold cream is a product from Japan, but luckily, it's currently available in Watsons :) One of the things that I really love about this is the fact that it contains Witch Hazel, which simply has many uses for the skin.

What I do is that I apply a scoop out a generous amount using a cotton bud/spatula, then place it all over my face. Afterwards, I remove the make-up using cotton, then I wash it off since it's washable anyways. Right after that, I proceed with my usual cleansing routine. Let me be the one to tell you that it's good enough for my liquid lipsticks, which are such a pain to remove! So this product is really worth the price and the jar is really big, so it might take a while before you consume an entire one.

Mummies in BGC Video

Mummies in BGC from nikki cea on Vimeo.

Mummies' Sundate at BGC

I miss college, I miss the thrill of dressing up everyday, going to school to meet up with your closest friends, and learning new things from different classes. I may not be able to bring back time, but luckily, I have one college treasure -- my mummy J! Haha. Yesterday, we decided to have a quick OOTD shoot since we missed it a lot. The weather turned out to be not so great, so we had to shoot pretty quick, and it seemed like we are back to square one. We're no longer used to the whole OOTD shoot, just like what we did before when we were in college. I'm hoping we can get back into it soon hehe. I'll just be sharing some of the pictures that were taken yesterday in BGC. We decided to have a snack at SaladStop, and afterwards, we had our OOTD shoot around Burgos Circle, then for our last stop, at the Bus Stop haha!

I had the Go Geisha salad wrap. :)
Mummy's order which was so yumyyyy
Me ordering my salad wrap

Lipstick Buy : Mac All Fired Up

I know, I know...another lipstick post!I think it's pretty clear by now that I have a love affair with lipsticks, especially matte ones. One of the matte lipsticks that I've been trying to get a hold on for such a long time is Mac's All Fired Up, which is a retro matte. Luckily, I can now say that I am an owner of this lipstick shade. It's no secret that I love pink red shades, and initially, before having this lipstick, I know a lot of people are saying that it's a very close shade to Mac's Relentlessly Red, which is my favorite pinkred shade afterall. But upon trying this out, I've realized that this is way more darker, more red than pink.  There are some days wherein I don't know if this is exactly the perfect shade for my warm tone, but I guess I'll have to work my way around it. Probably I'll try to experiment more on a blush that would be go well when I wear this lipstick.

I have to say that I'm not THAT crazy about this shade anymore at this point, in the sense that I'll consider purchasing one again in sometime future. But maybe it's just the fact that I already have it, because you know that feeling when you already have a product that you've wanted for so long, and when you have it, you just don't see it of much importance anymore lol. It's still a pretty shade, of course! Maybe I'll just rediscover my love for it on some point hahahah.

No Worries, No Drought

Can you believe we're already halfway through the year? Crazy, right?! I've been spending a lot of time thinking about getting a year older, and thinking of what I'm actually doing with my life. Drama aside, let me quickly share with you a recent good discovery when it comes to the hair department since I've been posting a lot about lipsticks, I should be talking about something else for a change haha!

As a matter of fact,  I don't think I've tried a lot of dry shampoos in the first place. But, I've tried this one quite recently since my mom bought it but left it at the condo. Lush's No Drought Dry Shampoo is heaven sent for people like me who get really sweat a lot, and if you don't have enough time to shampoo your hair, then this is perfect for you. I've read that shampooing your hair everyday is actually bad, but I still do it anyways, but just in case you are one of those people who like to skip the use of the traditional shampoo, or can't shower your hair for particular reasons, this is the product that you must try. What I  do is that I just put on a small amount on my hands, and then I spread it in my hair. And also, I really love the smell of this one. You know when you have hair products that really smell like it contains so many chemicals? Gladly, it's not the case for this one. It has a fruity fragrance, but not overpowering enough to make you dizzy. If you've been itching to try what a dry shampoo is like, I highly suggest you try this one.

I love how it says "freshness boost" because it really does the job! So happy with this discovery. :)
Much love,
