Civil Service and Crepes

Hello! Just wanted to quickly share some of you a quick photodiary haha.

I was finally able to try out Crepeman Cafe in One Archers Place, which is just in front of where I actually live! So happy that me and my friend found a new place for our tambay sessions.  So far, the blueberry crepe is my fave!

A year ago, I decided to take th Civil Service Examination for Professional level. Pretty weird incident actually-  I was already scheduled to take the exam on October 18,2015. But then, I felt like I didn't want to go for some reason. At the end, I didn't push through with my scheduled date of exam BUT during that day, nagka typhoon sa Manila. And of course, it got RESCHEDULED TO DECEMBER!!! If there was any sign for me to continue with the exam, this was it. Medyo  OA lang. I mean, of course, I'm not happy that there was a typhoon but it already happened and it meant that I SHOULD/MUST take the exam on its rescheduled date. Long story short, I took the exam on December 6, 2015 :) This is simply meant to be lol.

Letter to my future self

Dear future self,

Someday, you're going to back read your blog and you're going to stumble upon this post. Few days ago, you just received another disappointing reminder of this point in your life. On some days, you just want to hide and pretend not a thing matters and indulge yourself with lies in your head. Some days, it's going to hit you harder than anything else. While on some days, you just choose to ignore everything else that should matter. But this I tell you, one day, may this serve as a reminder of all things that kept you up late at night, feeding your head with all the worries and frustrations that you have been having for a long time. And the day you finally read this, may you be at a point in your life when some of the questions you've been dying to know the answers to- be answered already; or getting to that point very closely. And you will feel very content with what you have one day. You will feel more confident, more secured, more brave- just things that could make you feel "more" than you feel that you are today. And one day, you might realize that you can no longer simply escape , and you just have to deal with it. You might see signs of aging physically, emotionally, and mentally at the point that you shall read this someday. But this I truly hope- may you realize that there were instances wherein you should wait for the wounds to scab, and moments wherein you should feel like saying that it was worth remembering for, no matter how good or bad.

Much love,
From present lost self

Best buys : Nature Cologne and Revlon Fiery

Hello! Just wanted to quickly share with you some of the new products that I've recently acquired and loved!

I don't normally wear cologne or perfume anymore for a long time now, until I bought this anti-mosquito cologne from Rustans! It's actually available in different scents, but I use the Rose Geranium scent since I prefer its scent compared to the rest. What can I say... I really love this! I use it even during night time  since I tend to open my windows a bit when I sleep, and it's perfect for protecting against mosquitoes hehe.

I've already tried a few local, drugstore  to high end brands when it comes to lipsticks, but I always keep coming back to Revlon's matte balm selection the most. I love everything about it - the lip crayon style, the scent, the pigment, and the balm-like feel of it. I bought this recent lipstick called Fiery from their new selection of shades, and it's one shade of red that I really love.

Mask it Tuesday : Origins Clear Improvement Mask

Hello! Just going to quickly share a mask that I've been using for a few months now. Clear Improvement Mask is one of Origins' bestsellers, and I decided to try it out because I've been interested in trying out charcoal for my face haha. I apply it usually once a week, and I leave it on for about fifteen minutes every time ( or less... if I get particularly impatient hehe). I also apply this every time I feel like my skin has been through a lot for a day; most especially during times when I travel. It costs around 1500php during the time I bought it. And I know it's not necessarily a cheap  mask, but seriously, look at the image below. It's been months, and it still contains so mucchhh. Worthy of trying/ purchasing if you have oily skin and dealing with blackheads/whiteheads every now and then :)

Syempre may before and after photos loll

Much love,
Nikki
