5 things

1) The Voice Philippines and Bamboo #Team Kawayan
I am a big fan of The Voice. Among all singing competitions that I have ever seen, The Voice would be my favorite. I've been watching The Voice America and The Voice UK for a while now, and I'm truly glad that we now have a franchise for our country. Also, how can I not watch this show, if Bamboo is one of the coaches? :)

'2) I am not a big fan of suspense/crime.mystery novels. But then again, I think my love for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo started it all. I started reading Gone Girl because of  I noticed how it's rating was on goodreads, so I decided to give it a try. And oh myyyy gadd, I finished reading it for less than 4 hours. This book was so addicting and romantic in the creepiest way.Amy Dunne is one of the most  insane characters ever made! :)

3) Scandal
Despite the good reviews I've been hearing about this show, it was only a few days ago that I started watching it. I must say that it was partly because all of the series I've been watching are on hiatus now after a season finale (Read : New Girl, Modern Family, Suits, Awkward). Now, scandal has to be one of my favorite shows! Investigative work fascinates me so much and this series just kept me wanting for more.

4) Cronuts
I've read about the Cronuts ( croissant + donut)phenomenon last week on the newspaper. Even though we don't have it here yet, I badly want to try it and I hope bakeries produce something like this. :)

5) A good reward for an intense workout
We've been boxing thrice a week for two weeks now! Consistent kami, ha! :) This was taken after a very intense session that lasted for almost 3 hours. Of course, with our efforts to be healty and fit (ehem), we cannot deprive ourselves from little indulgences from time to time. Becky's has the best lemon squares ever and it's been a few months since the last time I went out to buy here hihi.So in my best pacute  effort in achieving a healthier lifestyle , I only ordered 3 pcs. of lemon squares.

Much love,

Work It

After many months of wanting this to happen, I finally tried boxing yesterday!! While I am writing this post, my whole body still aches and I am trying my best to bear with the tingling sensations caused by Salonpas huhu. Anyhow, for the past several months, I've been researching about different workout plans offered by gyms. Let me just say that I've never enrolled in a gym so I've been debating about several options that were available. In the end, since Elorde Taft is really convenient for someone like me who stays near DLSU, it was simply the best option out there.

Sports is my ultimate weakness, aside from math. For a lot of times, I've fantasized about waking up the next day and being some sort of a sporty/athletic kind of gal. Right now, I have come to accept that I would never be someone who excels in any kind of sports. But when I tried boxing yesterday, together with my mamita, Symba,we were both hooked! The first session was definitely intense! We squeezed a bit of time for our first workout before our class starts. We came to the gym at around 8am since both our classes start at 11:20 am.At different points during the session, the trainers were laughing at my gazillion fail moments. And even though I won't see myself being a great boxer immediately, the workout is really fun and addicting. I'm glad that I have my mamita as my workout buddy. In that way, we can laugh together during our fail moments, or during times of cheating when our trainers were looking away hihihi.

We'll be having our second session tomorrow and we can hardly wait!  I am not a morning person, but for boxing, I would gamely change my habits. We wish to go boxing at least twice or thrice a week, so I hope that we'll see great results soon haha.
Me before boxing
After boxing!

I'm trying to find a song that suits my new pursuit towards a healthier/athletic (ahem) lifestyle, but I think this song would do for now :)

Much love,

Besty Besty

Few days ago, I have received these photos , which were taken from besty's short trip to Manila last January. We had the chance to finally see each other, even if it's just for one afternoon. My besty, Anne,  was here for a convention for psychology students from different schools around the nation.Thank God for this opportunity! I've been asking her (as in major kulit) to go here in Manila so we could spend time with each other. But the time has not come yet, and we're both very busy at the moment,  so we're just thankful for this one day given to us last January:)

Besty trying on some makup from MAC. :)

Favorite! Forever21 :) haha

Writing this post makes me miss my besty more.Hopefully, with more strategies to be an effective makulit, more endearing and dramatic ( nyaakk ) messages, I can convince my besty to go to Manila hahaha.May the odds be in my favor ( since we both love Hunger games haha)!

To whom it may concern

I have to start this post by saying that my body and mind are hopefully resuming into work mode. It's been so hard to abandon the state of just relaxing and enjoying the summer. But now that summer is over, and it's been a week since school started, that only means that I need to shape up.

These photos were taken three months ago. Hence, the presence of the bangs again.I feel so guilty for making my blog like a zombie for the past few months. I will surely try to make it alive once again. :)
